WELL WE SAY

WHY CAN'T YOU COOK IN YOUR OVEN EVEN WHEN ESKOM SAYS YOU CAN'T ?

When it all started and ended a few years ago we thought, well that is it.

The underhanded tender awards were discovered and removed with the leaving of the old President..... or were they ?

Well, it started as a threat a few weeks ago , then it escalated to a short time out on alternate day, then along came stage 2... every day had 2 hours of power outage.

NOW, with the chance of stage 4 outages, it looks like we will be without power for up to 8 hours a day. What a disaster !

This has massive ramifications to both food businesses and homes.

We were thinking that one of the main things that will be affected will the cooking of meals but we then realised that with it heading towards winter time.other problems were also about to rear their heads.

ON THE COOKING SIDE:

Well we have an oven solution called the Ultimate Convector Grill that works even when ESKOM says you can't, and it bakes, grills, braai's  and rotisseries.

It allows both direct cooking and indirect cooking and open and closed lid cooking methods to be used.

A batch of 44 briquettes split across the two internal baskets will give you approximately 3 hours of cooking or baking time so you can do a starter, main and pudding all in one cook.

The unit can also be stocked with a load of briquettes and the lid closed down after they reach ash grey coating stage and the unit can then be put into an  area to act as a heater. ( correct ventilation procedures obviously need to be exercised )

The unit is also very portable and allows the legs to be removed and fitted into the lid along with the rotisserie fork and also the rest of the equipment used in the braai.

It comes standard with a heavy duty carry safari canvas bag and can easily fit into the boot of a car.

Fully stainless steel and in a mirror finish for healthy cooking and easier cleaning.

All of our units are made in solid food grade 304 stainless steel, they are not plated with a thin layer of chrome plating that can chip, flake and peel off. Our steel is solid all the way through and can be cleaned easily with soapy hot water.

ElectroplatingChrome Plating Finish. Chrome plating is a two stage process in which a thin layer of chromium is deposited on top of a bright nickel coating that is first deposited on a metal object.
Stainless Steel

The difference between chrome and stainless steel is in their makeup. Stainless steel is a metal alloy without plating, containing nickel and at least 10.5%chromium to make it more durable. ... Stainless steel is more durable than chrome. It's corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant, and tarnish resistant

This is the main reason that stainless steel is used in aggressive environments like at sea for boasting applications and in commercial kitchens for long life continuous use.
